12/04/2012: Nevermore has defeated Madness of Deathwing on Heroic mode!

Cataclysm has been a real mixed bag when it comes to expansions. We’ve achieved good results while raiding twice a week, but behind all this has been the feeling that we can, and should, achieve more.

When Mists of Pandaria launches, our goal is to ensure we are the best Guild on our server in the 10 Player raid format. This will be a challenging goal but one in which we intend to succeed.

After we had finished with Deathwing we decided to go and tie off a loose end, defeating Ragnaros on Heroic mode too.

We are currently looking for exceptional players to join us for Mists of Pandaria. In particular, we’re looking for people who are really outstanding damage dealers, of any class, to fill out the missing slots in our raid or challenge for a place with us.

28/03/2012: Nevermore have defeated Spine of Deathwing on Heroic mode!

After dealing with 150+ Corrupted Blood congealing over the raid, we managed to execute “the perfect attempt” and complete this challenging boss.

We’re now working on Madness of Deathwing.

08/03/2012: Nevermore defeated Warmaster Blackhorn Heroic!

To commemorate this fine achievement, we have decided to immortalise one of our raid members in a song:

There once was a Pala’ named Zee,
Who tried to use his Divine Plea,
There was a shockwave,
Now Zee is in the grave,
For he moved not to where he should be!

23/02/2012: Nevermore have defeated Hagara the Stormbinder! We initially approached this boss with what turned out to be some pretty ill conceived tactics. When we returned after defeating Zon’ozz, we decided to go back to basics and play to our strengths. We quickly went to getting up to a few 1% wipes, and then came back on the next raid and beat the encounter within a couple of goes. A very satisfying victory.

Nevermore are now 5/8 Heroic in Dragon Soul.

16/02/2012: Nevermore defeated Warlord Zon’ozz on Heroic mode.

This was a particularly satisfying kill, even though we only had to work on the boss for a couple of hours. It was good to see how quickly we worked together as a team to go from “complete disaster” on the first attempt, to working like a well oiled machine on the actual kill.

Nevermore defeated Ultraxion on 09/02/2012 to take us to 3 Heroics completed.

We spent much of this reset taking the time to feel out the other encounters in Dragon Soul on Heroic.

However we made sure we left time to finish off Ultraxion and gain another feather to our cap.

On 01/02/2012 Nevermore defeated Yor’sahj the Unsleeping.

This was a particularly satisfying kill as we didn’t have the exact composition which is recommended for the fight available, as we attempted it with three healers.

However excellent healing was coupled with a tremendous effort from our damage dealing players to ensure we gave Yor’sahj short-shrift.

Nevermore defeated Morchok Heroic on the 8th of December 2011.
