We killed Lana'thel two weeks ago. Katamai was too busy saving the souls of wayward Paladins, rescuing Kittens, and enjoying the "high tide" to create the killshot before now.

In the last two weeks we've also crafted a further 3 Shadow's Edge. So in full, congratulations to Tylerdurden, Givenchy, Defiance, and Aarn - the people we've selected to receive Shadowmourne.

On a related but offtopic note, Love Stinks!. Thank you very much for the loot lag associated with raid instances on Silvermoon this past week. I especially like the hotfix to make even more Lovely Bracelets lootable in raids.
Happy Valentine's Day Blizzard.

Another week, another wing. With the opening of the Plagueworks we managed to defeat Professor Putricide on our second attempt:

In fairness we killed him on 10-Man first so the fight is harder than I have perhaps implied. That being said, the mechanics are relatively simple and we rolled with a 5 healer and 3 tank strategy.
P.S: In reference to the title, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to move Rotface at all.

We also crafted our first Shadow's Edge, congratulations to Tylerdurden who will be obtaining our first Shadowmourne.

Given that the first four bosses in Icecrown are barely newsworthy (given that they are ridiculously easy, we were 4/4 in 10 and 25 on the first run) I thought that this was a more notable post to make with the launch of Icecrown Citadel:

We started farming at about 5pm, with the idea being to carry on until about 11pm. However, after we passed this mark, Neehao came up with the cracking idea of "staying until we were done", with the reward of not having to come back the next day. Ever.
We all said yes.

We finished around 4am, farming reputation for nearly 11 hours straight. I've heard of some people managing it faster via the 25-Man instance, but I'm not sure how that's possible. At best we had it down to about 7 minutes a clear and were often waiting for people on instance lockouts. By the end of the run, not even Katamai was laughing at my jokes. The conversation around certain feeding habits towards the end is probably not shareable on a news post, but certainly worthy of note.

Still, we get a cool title which few people will have for a month or two, and it was a truly old-school grind. It's exactly like how World of Warcraft used to be.
