After a number of years chipping away at the bleeding edge of World of Warcraft hardcore PVE Raiding, the time came on the 7th of March to bring the story of Nevermore to a close.
I would like to thank all members, past and present, for their contribution to making Nevermore one of the best experiences in World of Warcraft raiding. I'm sure that the Guild will be missed by many.
In the meantime, the Guild will become a social outpost for those members, past and present, to keep in touch and reminisce about old times.

I'll close with the message posted by Katamai on our "disbanding" announcement topic on the Silvermoon EU Forum:

3 years ago we have emerged from obscurity to claim our spot under the Azerothian sun. We have gathered the very best and the brightest to form one of the top guilds on Silvermoon, one that could rival many in Europe and the world.

We have never taken ourselves too seriously but we were serious about what we were doing. Always trying to maintain a dignified stance toward others, Nevermore has treated other guilds and players with respect and courtesy. We strived to be a group of people, friends, braving the hardest challenges game had to offer while at the same time, avoid becoming slaves to the game.
Through years of trial and error, hardships and triumphs we have settled where we thought we belonged and fought valiantly to keep that spot.
From early Karazhan raids, through Serpentshrine Caven and Tempest Keep, Mount Hyjal and Black temple, we proved time and again that we had the skills and drive to be among the best. Sunwell Plateau was the time when fire in us burned strongest and brightest, giving us server 3rd kill of Kil'jaeden, being our claim to glory as one of few guilds to beat the encounter before it fell prey to the Nerf Bat.

However, that fire has burned out.

Wrath of the Lich King presented us with challenges we conquered with little effort, biggest hurdle being ourselves and the lack of motivation to push forward. Even early hard modes gave us little to be excited about so we became lazy and disinterested. Real life struggles, relationships and work started to take a toll on us and while we fought to stay together in these challenging times, we have decided that life has to take priority over Azeroth. After spending so many years in this amazing community and experiencing highs and lows of end game raiding, it is time for us to hang our weapons and retrieve back into the shadows of the past.

To Silvermoon community, we offer you our thanks. For all the support, encouragement and sportsmanship, you have our gratitude and respect. Nevermore shall continue as a small group of battle-hardened heroes keeping the flag flying in memory of once great brotherhood.

To our guild members, current and past, we thank you for your efforts, energy and support. You have made Nevermore what it is and was, and without you this would have been nothing more than a bright idea in Tauftamir's head. If you decide to continue hardcore raiding, may you find find a new home where you will be treated with same respect and companionship you had in Nevermore. If you however decide to depart and leave the green forests of Eastern Kingdoms and rugged mountains of Kalimdor, we wish you farewell but not goodbye. We have formed bonds much stronger than we thought possible when we set on this journey. I know we shall meet again.

I will quote words that hold a great meaning to me, that were spoken in a situation very similar to this one.

"When battles end and cries of war are over, all that remains are memories we hold dear."

Nevermore will forever be in our hearts.

For Lordaeron, for the Alliance!

We killed Lana'thel two weeks ago. Katamai was too busy saving the souls of wayward Paladins, rescuing Kittens, and enjoying the "high tide" to create the killshot before now.

In the last two weeks we've also crafted a further 3 Shadow's Edge. So in full, congratulations to Tylerdurden, Givenchy, Defiance, and Aarn - the people we've selected to receive Shadowmourne.

On a related but offtopic note, Love Stinks!. Thank you very much for the loot lag associated with raid instances on Silvermoon this past week. I especially like the hotfix to make even more Lovely Bracelets lootable in raids.
Happy Valentine's Day Blizzard.

Another week, another wing. With the opening of the Plagueworks we managed to defeat Professor Putricide on our second attempt:

In fairness we killed him on 10-Man first so the fight is harder than I have perhaps implied. That being said, the mechanics are relatively simple and we rolled with a 5 healer and 3 tank strategy.
P.S: In reference to the title, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to move Rotface at all.

We also crafted our first Shadow's Edge, congratulations to Tylerdurden who will be obtaining our first Shadowmourne.
